Steps to play on-demand ASF files - no configuration necessary
  1. Locate an ASF file that you want to play in the Home unicast publishing point directory. To find the path to the Home directory, in the menu frame, click Unicast Publishing Points. In the On-Demand Unicast Publishing Points list, locate the Home unicast publishing point alias and note the directory under Path. By default, Windows installs welcome2.asf.
  2. Open Microsoft® Windows® Media Player.
  3. On the File menu, click Open.
  4. Type mms://servername/filename .asf, where servername is the name of your server running Windows Media Services and filename is the name of the ASF file you want to play, and then click OK.
